Polka is an exploration of a three dimensional form in beadwork. An idea, I wanted to explore and here is the exploration, I learned how to increase and decrease the beadwork as well as to wrap around the glass hand. The form also has a core of felted wool that helps with stability and shape.

The hand was made by Samuel Whitney a good friend who is a glassblower and makes this hands. He gifted me some last time I saw him and this is how one was used in this piece.
